Dr. Gray is known for her fun and engaging approach to patient care, even having visits compared to "a trip to Disneyland." But when it comes to your oral health, Dr. Gray’s attention to detail is second to none. Once she begins working, she becomes fully focused, treating your dental care with the utmost respect and precision.

What to Expect

Your journey as a new patient begins with a personal touch—a phone call and a new patient interview.

During this call, we’ll ask you a few basic questions to understand why you’d like to join our practice and any specific concerns you may have. We’ll also give you an overview of our services and approach to care to ensure that Smile Works is the right fit for you.

To make your first appointment as smooth as possible, we’ll send you a digital link to complete the necessary forms ahead of time.

Filling these out in advance helps us get to know you better, so we can focus entirely on your care and comfort during your visit.

When you come into the office for your first wellness/recare visit, plan for a thorough and informative 2-hour appointment.

You’ll start with a detailed periodontal evaluation conducted by one of our expert hygienists. This includes perio charting, x-rays, a saliva test, a complete review of your medical history, and a discussion of any signs or symptoms we observe.

After your evaluation, Dr. Gray will join you for a comprehensive exam.

There, we will administer a saliva test to get a more precise picture of your oral health. Then, depending on the evaluation, you may receive your cleaning during this appointment, or we may schedule it for a follow-up visit to ensure that you receive the best care possible.
